The feature debut of one of the most outstanding representatives of contemporary Hungarian film Bence Fliegauf is dedicated to the prematurely deceased director György Fehér (Szürkület, 1990, Szenvedély 1998). Fliegauf already in his debut uses dedramatized narrating, slow and long shots and dialogues, pointing to the emptiness of relations in society, which have become the director´s characteristic values of his later filmmaking. We follow the long monologic and dialogic passages, which are taken out of any meaningful context. It is obvious that characters do not understand each other, even they don´t understand themselves. Shots of cinematographer Zoltán Lovasi shows the characters in very close proximity, but the director doesn´t let us get deeper into their inners. Film with the original combination of these narrative methods and stylistic practises evokes omnipresent alienation and rootlessness in audience. For his original film work Bence Fliegauf as a young director at that time, won "Gene Moskowitz" Critics Award and Sándor Simó Memorial Award for Best Feature Film Festival debut at Hungarian Film Week 2003. Fliegauf received Wolfgang Staudte Award at Berlin Film Festival 2003, as well.
